Sri Harivayustuti Punascharana Dwitiya Avrutti Managala Karyakrama - A Huge Success

Sri Harivayustuti Punascharana Dwitiya Avruti Mangala Karyakrama at Sri Prasanna Anjaneya Swamy Temple, Mallapur was a very huge success on 12-12-2010.  The programme commenced little late than the scheduled time due to winter season.

About 30 participants gathered at the venue by 9.00 am and as Punascharana progressed, more participants joined taking the total tally to 45.

Sri Kadugolu Rangachar, Malkajgiri to administered sankalpa to the participants.  The Punascharana commenced sharply at 9-15 am with chanting of Sri Venkatesha Stotra, Sri Vishnu Sahasranama, Sri Manyu Sookta, Sri Bhalitha Sookta, followed by Sri Harivayustuti Punascharana in Samputa format envisaged by Sri Vyasarajaru and went up-to 11 am.  Simultaneously, Sri Manjunath, Adoni performed Cow Milk Abhisheka to Sri Mukhya Prana Devaru.

Sri Tupsakri Prahallada Char reached the venue well in time and performed Mangalarathi to Sri Pranadevaru after Abhisheka.

Sri Prahallada char commenced his pravachana at 11-30 am. As the pravachana karyakrama was going on, temple archaka Sri Prahallada charyaru carried out Panchamrutha Abhisheka and Alankara with flowers and Silver Kavacha to Sri Pranadevaru.  He spoke elaborately on “Sri Harivayustuti Vaishita”.  He explained in detail the background of Sri Trivikrama Panditacharyaru, his birth, his Panditya and how he was attracted by Srimadacharyaru after defeating him in Tatvavada.

He also explained the manner in which Trivikrama panditaru has explained the mahime of sri Vayu Devaru in three avataras.  He also narrated the thrill experienced by Sri Trivikrama panditaru after seeing Srimadacharyaru engaged in Sri Hari Pooje at Badari and how instantly he started composition of Sri Harivayustuti.  He also told that Srimadacharyaru was very much pleased with the composition and blessed Sri Trivikrama panditaru by composing two stanzas in praise of Sri Narasimha Devaru in the form of Nakha Stuti. He also told that generally stotras composed by Gruhastas are not chanted by peethadhipathis but Sri Harivayustuti & Sri SumadhwaVijaya being the only exceptions where Peethadhipathis in Acharya Sri Madhwarayana parampare chant  every day. The listeners were enthralled and listened to the discourse with great interest. The Pravachana continued for about One and a Half Hour duration.  Sri Prahallada char then picked-up the second topic “Anu Harikathamrutha Sara” and explained 5 stanzas in great detail for about 30 minutes.  In all the pravachana ended at 1-30 pm.
Sri Jayateeth Kadloor requested Smt. & Sri Narasimhachar Purohit present Tulasipatra Samarpane to Sri Tupsakri Achar and proposed Vote of thanks.  Sri Jayateerth thanked ITMS for owning up the karyakrama and for generous financial help rendered by the Sangha.

He thanked all the Members of Sri Prasannanjaneya Swamy Temple Committee for the help extended for the tremendous success of the programme.  He thanked all the participants who have gathered from Miyapur, Malkajgiri, Moulali, Mallapur and Ramanthapur.  He also thanked the in-charges of VVMP Ramanthapur & Malkajgiri for extending a helping hand in mobilizing participants for punascharana. A special thanks to Pt. YadhunandhaAchar (VMMP Ramanthapur) for congregating more than 20 members of Purascharana

He specially thanked the ladies for turning out in such great number and expressed confidence that they would continue to participate with same enthusiasm in all the future programmes of ITMS. Then commenced the Parayana of Sri Guru Jagannatha Dasa Virachita “Sri Venkatesha Stawaraja and Sri Lakshmi Hrudaya” by 35 ladies led by Smt. Srikala, Malkajgiri with great devotion.

The highlight of this programme is that Smt. Srikala (ITMS Mahila Mandali) had promised originally to mobilize 15 ladies for this Parayana Programme.  But to our great joy she has mobilized 35 ladies for Parayana.   By then it was about 02-15 pm and Maha Mangalaharati was offered to Sri Pranadevaru.

Though we were expecting about 100-120 people for Teertha Prasada, 150 people graced the occasion.  There was all-round praise for ITMS for arranging such a fine programme.

Stree Dharma - NityaKarma Anusthana for Women

ITMS Mallapur wing conducted an exclusive programme for ladies about Stree Dharma (NityaKarma Anusthana) Programme at Sri Prasannanjaneya Temple, Mallapur on Sunday, the 14th March 2010. The programme was a great success with enthusiastic participation of Hari Bhaktas beyond expectation in number and the zeal. Please find some pictures taken during the event at the end of this report.

Programme started with usual Hari Vayustuti Punascharana at 7.00 am and went on till 8.30 am. Meanwhile about 15 Haribhaktas from Kondapur and surrounding areas arrived before 8AM. Sri Tupsakri Prahalladchar arrived by 9.00 am. After waiting for a while, Upanyasa karyakrama started by acharya on the topic "Anu Harikathamrutha Sara". In fact acharya requested for an excuse since he was not felling well but as ITMS prevailed and requested acharya to at least deliver upanyasa for about half an hour. But acharya, once started, continued for about one hour and dealt at length about the subject. He could complete precisely about 9 nudigalu of "Phalavidu Baldudake" (due to ill health).

Meanwhile, Sri Aditya Rao picked up Sri Chitaguppa Padmanabhacharya and arrived in time to the venue. ITMS honoured acharya with shawl and sambhavane. ITMS expressed its sincere thanks to Acharya and Sri Aditya.

We preferred to continue the second upanyasa with out any break in between as there were more than 50 participants were anxious to learn. Acharya took over the stage and started detailing about what a devout woman is expected to do the moment she opens her eyes in the bed. He continued explaining about various kriyas the lady has to follow during the course of the day. He explained the Shastriya vichara providing scientific reasons to follow the dharma specified in shastras. He also touched the behavioral aspects and how it helps one to transform into a noble soul. He was very curt when truths are to be told, he was very jovial while explaining the lighter things. The entire gathering heard acharya with rapt attention.

The participants were slowly getting added and by the end the gathering was between 70-75 ladies and 20-25 gents.

Session was a marathon, enthusiastic session with 3 hours 10 minutes. He then allowed the participants to get their queries / sandheha cleared in next 30 minutes Q&A session. About 7 ladies sought explanations from the acharya, that benefited all the participants.

Sri Acharya was honoured with shawl and sambhavane by Smt. & Sri Narasimha Char Purohit, Secretary of Sri Prasannanjaneya Temple Committee. The session came to an end at about 2 pm in the afternoon. Subsequently, Hastodaka, Mahamangalarathi to Sri Anjaneya Swamy were offered. All the participants had Teertha and Prasada.
The participants have derived complete satisfaction with the explanation given by both the acharyas and thanked the ITMS for choosing such relevant topics. They were also expressing keen interest to participate in a sequel to this programme if conducted.

On behalf of ITMS, we expressed our sincere thanks to both the Pandits, Temple Archaks & Temple Committee and last but not the least all the participants.

Sri Jayatheerth Kadloor spoke in honor of Sri Prahaladachar & Pt. Sri Padmanabhachar who delivered excellent lectures on behalf of ITMS, Mallapur.

Sri Madhva Navami 2010 - a very grand success !

Sri Madhva Navami was celebrated by IT Madhva Sangha (www.itmadhvasangha.org) starting from 20th January 2010 to 24th January 2010 was a very grand success. It was celebrated with support from Mantralaya Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt, Malkajgiri at the Sri Mutt's premises. Dr. Prabhanajanacharya who delivered a fantastic and concise pravachana on Sri Sumdhva Vijaya during the glorious five days left many spellbound with an influence to do more and more sandhane towards the lotus feet of Sri Hari Vayu Gurugalu.

In spite of a bandh called by the Telangana agitators on 20th and 21st January, there were well over 250 haribhaktas who actively participated in the pravachana karyakrama during the evenings. It is true that no artificially mooted vigna can scuttle the spreading of the lore of Lord Sri Hari and his illustrious bhakta vrunda. The pravachana was delivered by Dr. Prabhanjanacharya in his usual path-breaking and influential style peppered with sheer lucidity to captivate all sections of the participants irrespective of their backgrounds. We also had organized paata on Sri Krishnamrutha Maharnava at Sri Uttaradi Mutt, Malkajgiri.

The mangala karyakrama was indeed the grandest of our events, on 24th January, being Madhva Navami and prime paravakaala, hari bhaktas started off the Rathotsava of Sri Sarva Moola Grantha at 8:30 AM and went all the way to Sri Ganesha Temple and came back singing the glory through the mellifluous renderings handed down to us by the great Hari Dasas. In parallel, Mantralaya Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt authorities had begun the samuhika Pavmaana Homa where large number of members participated till poornahuthi. Following the Poornahuthi karyakrama, we started off with the Mangala Mahotsava of Sri Sumadhwa Vijaya pravachana and it was rendered by Dr. Prabhanjanacharyaru in the most apt way. Following the Mangala Mahotsava, IT Madhva Sangha had organized a Tulabhara Karyakrama for Sri Sarvamoola Grantha 37 times with 5 different fruits, 37 being indicative of the number of granthas. Following this unique and blessed activity, we had the prize distribution program for all the children who had won various competitions held across Hyderabad during the previous 2 weeks.

The very grand program concluded with Mantrakshate vitharane with Phala directly from the Tulabhara Karyakrama to all the Haribhaktas, this was then followed by Alankara and Theertha Prasada. About 600 Hari Bhaktas participated and were blessed during this grand event.

A few photographs taken below illustrate the grandeur of the whole event. IT Madhva Sangha thanks all its esteemed members and bhakta vrunda of Malkajgiri for making this a very grand and successful program. ITMS is indebted to SRS Mutt, Malkajgiri and Uttaradi Mutt, Malkajgiri for their relentless support in making the programs useful and effective.
